So today I enrolled at the University of Wales, Newport. This place puts the "technic" in Polytechnic. It's the same place my Dad went to when he was well younger than me so circa 1823. I'm studying an Engineering HND and one of the modules I'm taking is a basic introduction into Robotics. Having been watching a hell of a lot of Battlestar Galactica and being a big fan of the Terminator films it's an obvious choice to take. Not only will I get a qualification I could also end up starting a war between Humans and Machines!Uni seemed Ok, I didn't really talk to many people what them being Welsh. I'm only just recovering from 8 months of the Glasweigen accent reverberating around my head. The course looks interesting enough though and I've already been given my first design project for January. It's going to be a Dragons Den style first draft of an ideal.
Last night I went to watch Rovers against Southampton. The game ended 3-2 to Rovers with us scoring in the 96 minute. There's not much I can say about the game to be honest. I don't think I could give it enough of a bigging up, wonderful show by the gas. I'm in two minds about going to Norwich on Saturday if I can get a cheap lift/train. My Parents got Fred a Rovers - Leeds ticket today, it's going to be her fourth match and she's yet to see us loose. Should be a cracking game between two inform sides and the atmosphere is going to be something special. The fact that she's going to be there will make the day for me though. 'nuff softing.
